چکیده

We propose a notion of deterministic association rules for ordered data. We prove that our proposed rules can be formally justified by a purely logical characterization, namely, a natural notion of empirical Horn approximation for ordered data which involves background Horn conditions; these ensure the consistency of the propositional theory obtained with the ordered context. The whole framework resorts to concept lattice models from Formal Concept Analysis, but adapted to ordered contexts. We also discuss a general method to mine these rules that can be easily incorporated into any algorithm for mining closed sequences, of which there are already some in the literature. c © 2006 Elsevier B.V. CCS-Based Dynamic Logics for Communicating Concurrent Programs

This work presents three increasingly expressive Dynamic Logics in which the programs are CCS processes (sCCS-PDL, CCS-PDL and XCCSPDL). Their goal is to reason about properties of concurrent programs and systems described using CCS. In order to accomplish that, CCS’s operators and constructions are added to a basic modal logic in order to create dynamic logics that are suitable for the descrip...

Towards First-order Deduction Based on Shannon Graphs

We present a new approach to Automated Deduction based on the concept of Shan-non graphs, which are also known as Binary Decision Diagrams (BDDs). A Skolemized formula is rst transformed into a Shannon graph, then the latter is compiled into a set of Horn clauses. These can nally be run as a Prolog program trying to refute the initial formula. It is also possible to precompile axiomatizations i...

Finite Equational Bases in Process Algebra: Results and Open Questions

Van Glabbeek (1990) presented the linear time/branching time spectrum of behavioral equivalences for finitely branching, concrete, sequential processes. He studied these semantics in the setting of the basic process algebra BCCSP, and tried to give finite complete axiomatizations for them. Obtaining such axiomatizations in concurrency theory often turns out to be difficult, even in the setting ...

Canonical Inference for Implicational Systems

Completion is a general paradigm for applying inferences to generate a canonical presentation of a logical theory, or to semi-decide the validity of theorems, or to answer queries. We investigate what canonicity means for implicational systems that are axiomatizations of Moore families – or, equivalently, of propositional Horn theories. We build a correspondence between implicational systems an...

A ground-complete axiomatization of stateless bisimilarity over Linda

This paper offers a finite, ground-complete axiomatization of stateless bisimilarity over the tuple-space-based coordination language Linda. As stepping stones towards that result, axiomatizations of stateless bisimilarity over the sequential fragment of Linda without the nask primitive, and over the full sequential sublanguage are given. It is also shown that stateless bisimilarity coincides w...
